UCExposure Camps Testimonials

Your College Prep Senior Showcase was the best event we have ever attended. The way you ran it was accurate to what College Coaches want to see in players. There were more Coaches in attendance to watch than any supposed similar Camps. Your layout gave every participant several opportunities to showcase their overall game to College Recruiters. My son (Austin) made the comment “Best Ever” keep doing your thing so more basketball players will reap the benefits of your Academy.

“Coach Russell Vanlandingham was a tireless worker that was always trying to improve his knowledge when it came to developing players at the college level. I am certain that any HS player looking to be in a quality program would benefit from being coached by Russ.   Not only does he have 20 years of college coaching experience, he understands what kind of commitment it takes to improve your game!”

I can honestly say that the knowledge that was shared to both players and parents regarding the recruiting process was a huge help. This truly is an exposure camp because you are exposed to what college recruiters look for, what players must do to get discovered, and the intensity in the skill development portion was eye opening for my son. The benefits of attending the UC Camp go beyond exposure as you move into the new season.

His approach was UnCommon as he taught all the players how to get discovered during “live periods” and throughout the HS season by focusing on all the intangibles. There were no rankings, no favorites, and no hidden agendas as every player had equal opportunity in a variety of settings to showcase their talent. I’ve been coaching 23 years and there are only 4 camps I would pay to send my son to. Coach V’s UCExposure camp would be one of them! I truly believe that what he is doing is not only uncommon in the world of exposure camps but necessary in showing kids how to have a break through season.

“Coach V has a passion for Basketball and the knowledge to prepare and to transform players into winners. He has been a winner at the college level as both a head coach and assistant
coach, and takes the good player and gets them to compete at their highest level.

Russell "Coach V" Vanlandingham designed the College Prep Academy and UCExposure Camps to elevate performance, train the mindset, improve recruitment, and offer an alternative option to the 5 on 5 showcases where players showcase selfish habits. The “Uncommon” Athlete will learn 5 key strategies in Marketing the Athlete as seen through a recruiting coordinators perspective. Staying “Common” and comfortable will result in prospects relying on talent alone and only a small % have that luxury. Recruiting services provide accessible profiles while UnCommon Basketball, LLC builds personal game plans for the individual client. Player rankings identify talent, 5 on 5 showcases promote 1 on 1 players, but the Uncommon “Exposure” Camps identify great teammates, great competitors, great effort, and great upside. All traits College Coaches ask me about when looking for their next recruit. Register today for the next “Uncommon” event or purchase a UC Athlete Package and go from an under recruited prospect to a College offer!!!
